Andy Carr has been a busy working bass player for many years. Music has taken him to many interesting places around the world and he has had the opportunity to work with some amazing bands and musicians.
His first break came when he was asked to play on Bruce
Dickinson's (Iron Maiden) first solo album 'Tattooed Millionaire'. This was followed by an extensive world tour and since then he has performed with a range of artists including: Shakespeare's Sister, Witness (Ex Hipsway), Niagara (France), Toby Bourke (Feat: George Michael), William Bell (USA), Taka Boom, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Go West, Deccatree (USA), Mark Read (Ex A1),
Carol Decker (T'Pau), Belinda Carlisle, Brenda Edwards, and of course....ABC!!!
He played on the most recent ABC album called 'Traffic',
produced by Gary Langan and has been on the road
with ABC around the USA, UK and the rest of Europe
for the last few years.
Andy played bass on the last Jane McDonald album 'Jane', produced by Gary Stevenson. He also played on the Chris Moyles parody album, recorded at Abbey Road Studio 2.
Andy's musical influences include bass players such as: Jaco Pastorius, Cliff Williams, Marcus Miller, Adam Clayton, Larry Graham, Steve Harris, James Jamerson.
Andy says: 'I am happy to say that I'm enjoying playing bass as much as I did at the beginning of this journey....long may it continue'!.
